WalMart Sucks

Today I needed to go to Wally World to grab a few items. I am growing more and more disgusted with WalMart. Some how we lost the dust pan so I needed to replace it. A natural place to get it would be Wally. What a joke!!!! When I need something, invariably Wally is out of that item. Today, they only had 1 Dust Pan. Naturally, when I went through the check out, it did not have a UPC Sticker on it. The cashier called for customer service to do a price check. Holly used to work at Wally in Marysville, she told me that as a cashier you have to have a certain amount of scans per minute. So as I waited for the price check, I asked the cashier if this is still WallMart's practice. She said that she has to do 550 scans per hour. I asked how she could possible achieve it. She said that they don't have time to do anything else other than to scan. She said that she has broken a lot of eggs and broken a lot of pop cans open. The cashier also told me that Wally wants to raise it to 750 scans a hour. She was from Ohio and wants to move back. She was told that WalMart no longer hires Full Time employees. If she wants to transfer back to Ohio, she will have to go Part Time and lose all her benefits to include medical coverage. This is shameful. Well finally the price check came back to say that the 1 Dust Pan was part of a set which included a small brush. The brush must have been stolen so I could not buy it.

WalMart marketing states always low price's, but at what cost?

If the cashier transfers, she will lose much needed benefits. And lets face it, unskilled labor is very cheap these days, at best she makes $7 per hour. WalMart just surpassed Exxon Mobil as recording the largest Profit in history. I think they can can spare a little extra in the wage department.

Is the cost savings in my time? I make $19.50 per hour. It takes an average of 30 minutes of waiting to get through the check out at WalMart. That means that I am waisting $9.75 just to go through the check out. I can go to Publix and my wait time at the check out is an average of 2 minutes. I am only waisting $0.65 at Publix. I ask you where is the cost savings? The cost savings on the items really does not add up to the time lost.

WalMart you have lost me as a customer. I will drive out of my way to avoid your store.

The place of last resort!

Yah, that place really does suck. I haven't been there in awhile. Generally I go there as a last resort, or it is the only place open at 4am. And the few moderately priced gadgets I've purchased, generally don't last very long... You get what you pay for, and it's never a bargain.

I would say that place has about 1.5 stars (out of five) from me.

BTW: I'll get your other papers to you shortly. Maybe good news, may be bad news... it was bought by a company in Texas. They have promised no drastic changes, however that word is subjective.

You know I think so too, I for one am not going there either, onlyas a last resort. This is America, after all, we have the "freedom" to go somewhere else. Your "lovely" wife

Add me to the boycot! I've never really had a bad experience there, but I have heard horror stories from friends of mine that used to work there.
